England World Cup squad news

Dont think English pressing game is the way to win the World Cup in 35C heat

Perhaps Tuchel has a better way.

We'll need to pace ourselves and rotate
When it’s hot you have to keep possession and create weak spots/overloads.

When the game is tight then you need players with dribbling skills to unlock the defence. Grealish, foden, palmer are better at that than most of the forwards selected. Saka is a great player, I don’t know much about Eze and Madueke but if they played for a non London team I doubt they’d be rated.

Saying that, with 5 subs you could keep up some intensity all match?

What’s he said pal? I haven’t heard his side of the story yet
There’s a 30 minute press conference on BBC sport from this morning, I recommend listening to that instead of some of the wallies on here saying that it’s the worst England squad ever (it isn’t, not by a long stretch)

Found it on YouTube as well

Maguire, it’s like that massive bonce of his had its own gravitational field. It’s absolutely mental how many offensive headers he wins on corners

Too much to put into a reply , basically explained why players were picked , the importance of the squad , the fact that it wasn’t all about talent but how a player fitted in the squad and the importance of team spirit and leadership.
Still can’t believe he picked Spence like but Tuchel reckons he loves defending , is the fastest player in the squad and the best at one on one situations and was outstanding in the friendly games . I’ll have to take his word for it .

Eze should be there Madueke no chance. Leaving out Palmer is criminal
I look at it differently tbh, Maguire wouldn't have weakened us if required. Dan Burn will
Another absolutely ridiculous call by Tuchel

Friday night down Wembley Way,
Flags are flying, pints all raised,
From London town to Liverpool,
Every pub sings loud and full.

Kane up front and the boys in white,
Dreaming of those summer nights,
Whole world watching, hear us roar,
England marching into war.

We’ve had heartbreak, years of pain,
But we still sing in the pouring rain,
’Cause every time we wear that crest,
We believe that we’re the best.

It’s coming home again,
Hear the Three Lions sing,
From the streets to the stands,
You can feel everything.
Raise your scarves to the sky,
Let the whole world know,
England’s here tonight —
And we’re bringing football home!

Tuchel’s army, fearless hearts,
Every match a brand-new start,
Bellingham running through the fight,
Saka dancing down the right.

Old men crying, kids believe,
St George flying on the breeze,
One more win and history calls,
Hear the echo through the halls.

We’ve had heartbreak, years of pain,
Still we chant through every game,
Now the dream is burning bright,
England’s gonna own the night.

It’s coming home again,
Hear the Three Lions sing,
From the streets to the stands,
You can feel everything.
Raise your scarves to the sky,
Let the whole world know,
England’s here tonight —
And we’re bringing football home!

ENG-ER-LAND! ENG-ER-LAND!
Red and white across the land!
ENG-ER-LAND! ENG-ER-LAND!
One more step to glory!

It’s coming home again,
Can you hear the nation sing?
All together now,
Every heart in sync.
From the pubs to Berlin nights,
We’ll never walk alone,
England’s here tonight —
And football’s coming home! ⚽🏆

Mags having a meltdown over Hall ignoring the fact he’s a defender who can’t defend for shit. Half decent going forward but fuck me he’s over rated by that lot. I’d also rather have O9 than Burn !

Maguire and his family have every right to be pissed off. I am on their behalf and I have no reason to care. He's exactly what's needed in a squad for when things aren't going to plan one way or the other. Dan Burn is laughable.

Henderson as well, he's not going to play any meaningful game time. If you want him for his leadership or whatever, put him on the coaching staff.

Aye, a centre half that's rank at defending. Exactly what we need.

We create next to nowt from open play most games and when we do more often than not it's out wide. Yet four times in this sub three minute highlight package we exploit space in a central area largely because of that clown that can barely turn.

Hopeless.

I honestly think he would have been ok.

Players obviously want to play for him, his record would absolutely back that up.
He's the perfect manager for a section of England, however i think the days of going in the dressing room ranting and raving are over, but i can i see what you mean, the mike bassist of england managers its more data and tactics now.
