England Women's Ashes Squad 2022

Superb fightback from England, though it looks likely that rain will be the winner. Brunt's opening spell had Australia in all sorts of trouble. 12 for 2 when the rain came. If weather permits, it's a genuine 50 / 50 test match now.

Brilliant knock from Knight, with admirable back-up from the tailenders. 128 for the last two wickets absolutely riled the hosts to the point of dropped catches and mis-fields borne of sheer frustration.

I hope Canberra's changed since I was last there, mind. Reminded me a lot of Milton Keynes back in 2013.

Great game this
England need 91 from 15 overs
Shit night is out
Knight*
So we are 166 for 3 still need 91 off 15 overs
212 for 3
Need 45 from 10 overs to win

Best test of the 6 this winter. Seems to be more appetite for women's tests now. Enjoyed what I was able to watch from it.

Tremendous test. Great declaration from Australia, risking defeat to go for the win. The fact England were in it at all after collapsing to 169 for 8 in the first innings showed real character.

With Knight's batting and Brunt's bowling, England could yet win the ODI's. This ain't over.

Ideal for it be an England win to make it 6-6, then a rained off game to make it 7-7, then the final match wins the Ashes
