I know even less about the woman’s game than the men’s which isn’t a great deal to start with, but they can’t do any worse than the men’s, Shirley?

I'll probably watch a couple hours of the weekend sessions.

Big fan of Kate Cross' podcast hopefully she doesn't take a hiatus from them during the tour

Aren't you an aussie? You keep doing a stupid "gerrin" every wicket they get in the real ashes.

Desperate c*nt. That would be the hobbled Ollie Robinson bowling within himself and off about 6 paces due to back spasms.

Heady times indeed.
I think the general point is that the women's game is getting faster. It's hardly worth calling someone a **** about mind.

I call everyone that. 70mph isn’t fast (in cricketing parlance), no matter how you look to spin (no bowling pun intended) it.
Yeah but regardless of the speed now, there's no doubt they're getting faster. Ten years ago they weren't hitting 70mph for example. If you look at the history of cricket, it was only when teams started hiring professional bowlers that speed increased. It is the same with the women's game, it's only when they go full time, with the correct coaching etc. that speeds will increase.

There's an interesting study from the University of Loughborough that states said biologically there is no reason why women can't bowl at the same speed as men. It's just going to take time.

I’d be amazed if that was true like.

I must admit BT tweeting stuff like "highest English partnership of both Ashes" or someit like that, did annoy me slightly. Maybe it shouldnt

So why is the women’s 100m record a full second slower than the blokes?

Or did the study conclude that when women finally get to 90mph the blokes will be bowling 120mph?

Cause it’s bollocks.
