Draw written all over it today. Shame, but we needed 3-4 wickets this morning to have a chance. Likely that the game won't last past tea with the weather forecast.

world class bat on a track which has dried out for a day and we look a bit clueless...hopefully not a sign of things to come with the Indians due over

It will be. The days of groundsmen producing result wickets are long gone. Imagine the uproar from Sky if there was only 3 and a bit days play, and the ECB would be crying into their cuppas if they had to refund any money.

forgive me If I am wrong but every test this summer has been 3 days long due to the weather

I knar that man. But if it hadn't rained then all matches would have gone to 5 days with dull draws. Unless either side collapsed like they did in Cardiff. Results are few and far between because money and Sky rules.

tbf the picth on day 5 was a day 3 pitch, which is when its at its flatest. wouldnt have been the case if the weather hadnt intervened throughout.
