Need more than 300. We'll need a lead of at least 250, then put them back in and hope the weather allows us enough time to knock off the wickets.
Fair but standard analysis.

And they wonder why people are losing interest in test cricket. I know they can't control the weather, but the way they've managed this is a joke.
Just watched the highlights of today's play. Sky under-played the crowd's reaction to the taking of the breaks, probably not wanting to offend 'the powers that be'. An hour's play lost.
Lot of unhappy punters sitting around me and, at £60 a pop, they deserve better.

If we can get a lead of up to 200 with a session to go today, I'd say stick them in and have a right go at them. If we do get a full day's play tomorrow, the worst case scenario would look like a draw because they won't have time to set us a target that we either can't reach, or that gives them time to bowl us out.
We should be bowling two sessions today imo as rain is forecast tomorrow. As you say it's not as if we can lose from here so be aggressive.
Well if Bell, Morgan and Prior can just whack it around a bit before lunch, we could be looking at a lead of 150ish at lunch. That should dangle enough of a carrot at them to give us a chance of bowling them out for a similar total as the 1st innings.
Right now though, we need Jimmy to either tee off or fuck off so we can gets some runs on the board quickly.
soon as we get to 400 then we need to declare.
200 run lead would be enough against a side who dont like the cold/rain
Agree, but I can see them plodding along til tea regardless.

:-D
Leaving them 250 to get in four sessions was pretty gung ho then!
