England vs Sri Lanka - 1st test

too early for onions to get straight back into the team for the second test?

Guess if he plays well against Lancashire he's in with a shout.

What do we reckon, between him and Shazad for a seam/swing bowler? All ready got bang it ins in Broad and Tremlett so I think that rules Finn out.

I think he'll be back for the India tests but can't see him being risked for this series.

6.30 was the scheduled finish time not 7. They played an extra half an hour to make up some of Thursday's lost time. They'll make up for the 7 overs tonight if possible.
But I thought they were allowed to make up an hour of the lost time from the previous days, plus the extra half to finish the scheduled overs. Has that rule changed too? In previous years they have played to 7:30.

Think it's changed so you can now only play an extra 30 minutes over the scheduled finish time.

My guess is they'll go with Finn, that it's probably still too early for Onions, but I'd probably choose Shahzad.

So why not last night too? I'm still confused. Is it that you are only allowed to make up half an hour lost from previous days and an hour from the current day? Why make it so confusing?

I've honestly no idea. It would seem that's the criteria or perhaps something to do with how many overs are lost?

reckon a good day of runs tomorow and some good weather and its englands to win

No chance.

Good opportunity to rack up another stack of runs tomorrow and for KP, Bell, Morgan, Prior to have a net. No time for anything more.

Don't think this SL attack could get 20 wickets in a timeless Test, so weather permitting should win at Lords.

98 more overs tomorrow, could get 330-350 runs if we are positive. Bowl them out on the final day.

It is still on.

I think I read if we win the series 3-0 we go to number 1 in the rankings, so there's the incentive.
