England vs India ODI Series

They don't seem to understand the difference between positive and reckless.
There is an obsession with ‘never die wondering’ and chasing mammoth scores underpinned by the ‘baz ball’ philosophy.
Bottom line is 50 overs is a long time to bat and people pay a lot of money to watch the games and want to see players like Stokes spending more time at the crease even if that means a slightly more defensive approach.

That’s the chance you take when you buy a ticket

Farcical that we scheduled an international on the same weekend.

But good to see common sense prevails for the reserves. But how Lancs and Yorks could do with Butler Livingstone Bairstow Root

Yes, but as ever, that would mean dropping players who had got the teams to finals day.

Don't have any international games 4 days either side of final day. Especially when there's a t20 world cup final in the same year.

Not really rocket science for the ECB

Mis-read your post

The point of this finals day is a money spinner to keep counties alive and to try and encourage the best in the world to play in the competition.

Players always know international players will replace them if available. Par for the course of their job.

Good to want our players to be playing knockout cricket in preparation for the world cup too

I agree about the poor scheduling for the finals day. Suspect there will be plenty of the top England players available for the 100 final day

always said it, if the ftecb scheduled the t20 correctly, so the big names can play, the crowds would go up instantly.

instead we have the 100 not available to large areas of the country and a lot of travelling if someone from Somerset or Durham, wants to see their top players, live and in action.

of course the FTECB thinks inspiring the youth involves taking that away for parts of the country

grrr

Not sure I could spend a whole day with Indian fans in this heat. 3 hours at 10 degrees cooler in Birmingham last week was tiring enough 🤣
