England vs India (fourth test) The Oval

That opening partnership very nearly egged me into buying one of those £100+ tout tickets last night like...

Thank fuck I didn't, spewing enough over this from me settee

And a lot of shite mentally weak batting performances
This is the go to most of the time but I don’t think they are mentally weak as much as just not good enough. There’s a reason all our batsman barely average over 35 (root apart). India are a better side than England, especially the 11 on the pitch. Only root, woakes and Anderson get in a combined 11, maybe Robinson at a push too.

Pretty much it. A strong Indian side who can leave out someone as good as Ashwin and a poor England side missing about 10 players. Cant remember the last time we played our strongest side

The Indian batsmen can defend for fun, some of those dismissals today (having just watched a replay of the wickets) were poor shots which could have easily been left or defended. Some of the shot selection were shocking.

Agreed but I think that’s technical or at least part of the full package. We consistently do this, the defensive technique and shot selection of this team has been shite for years now.

I'd also put in the mix that very few of our batsmen have the mental capacity to dig in and to wait until they get a bad ball, we collapse far far to often.
