England vs India (fourth test) The Oval

can tell you what will happens

bairstow and Pope will play some shots then get out and everyone will criticise them as wreckless for getting out

people want attacking shots with no risk it seems, not you, but that’s the feeling I get

Aye I'm not expecting us to go full T20 at all. I think the tactics have been spot on.

We've probably lost 1 more wicket and scored about 15-20 less runs than needed in this session, which reduces our chance of winning. But I think we continue into the next session the same, we can put ourselves in a position to go for the win. If we can go into the last session with 36-37 overs left and 130-140 or so with 6 wickets in hand, then we have the opportunity to go for it then.

possibly

There’s no logic in “going for it” in the first session of the day. England win is - and was after lunch Day 4 - a very tall order. A record breaking chase. Wickets in hand are what it’s all about up until tea to safeguard the series with a draw - and if a steady accumulation puts us in with a good chance after that, take a view. A draw wouldn’t be a bad result here given the implications it has for the series.

problem with all the commentators playing in the same era is that just hear the same stories of the same players

never any mention on anything of much relevance from the period when England have been incredibly successful

Crackers mate, probably helps that it’s in London but still crackers. If you’re serious about going you should pick some up outside the ground quite easily for a better price.

My wife came across a pair for face vale on twickets but by the time I’d jumped out the shower they’d gone. Up for about 60 seconds they were. Can hardly remember a Monday Day 5 being this heavily touted - wonder how many in attendance are “working from home” today ;)

Correct take.

3 boundaries, all by Burns early in the day

Aye just bollocks by the usual suspects in the cricket media

its deliberate by them too as they know thats how cricket works too, almost getting their criticism in early
