All ifs, buts and maybes. We lost over there cos of the pitches and umpires, we aren't winning over here because of injuries. Theres always an excuse. Cricket is only ever about the best team you have available against the best team the opposition has available - we might be good enough t win this series we might not but none of the injuries gives us a better top 3. Also If Broad, Stokes and Woakes are fit and selected Robinson doesn't play and hes been our best bowler.

He does. Anderson, Broad, Woakes and Robinson would be the seam attack.

not an excuse to say missing your best player is a reason

Joe root has had to deal with more troubles than any captain I can remember; never complained once

alsi those pitches were a total disgrace likd there’s no defence of them at all, so no idea why you continue to do some. The 2 worst test matches I’ve ever watched

That's why I wanted Wood over Overton if fit. Express pace is massive in situations like this.
 
Looking desperate this.

Our attack is so one paced, as much as Overton is clearly a good bowler the talk of him adding a yard of pace before he came into the team was clearly not true.

Agreed. Mornings like this we really miss a spell from Wood or Archer. Get someone banging it in at Rohit.
