Trott is a joke though IMO, was cheering for the Saffas against us a year before his debut. Took the place of a lad who had wanted to play for England his whole life.

totally agree, as i said above, disgrace and i dont like him being in the team, quality obstinate batsman though he is.

would love to continue this but must leave for work.

one more wicket here and it would really be game on, gutted to have to leave :-x

Blame the system, not the player is my stance.

bit different, strauss moved to england aged 6, pietersen was 19 or there abouts iirc.

Suppose. But then you could argue its all or nothing. If you feel strongly about nationality then whether you came over at 20 days, 20 months or 20 years it should make no odds.

totally agree with your first point in general however the fact that trott got into so much bother for ripping into/out off micheal vaughan at lords after south africa beat england means its perfectly fine to blame the player in his case.

now i really must go, enjoy all

Regardless of nationality, that would just make him a bit of a nob.

Right Im off too. Got my South African residency forms to sign......

plus Nash and Pollard, basically another 4 or 5 test class batsman to support the two they have in Shiv and Bravo

Kieron Pollard? He's never played a test and doesn't seem the type of player who ever will. Admittedly I thought the same thing about David Warner, mind.

But with them 4 batsmen, plus a decent bowling attack they would be a lot more competitive, especially at home.

This series would have been much more interesting had the Windies had Gayle, Sarwan and Dwayne Bravo available for selection.

Holding wasn't convinced yesterday, pointing out how those players didnt help them previously when you look at their results.

I have my fingers crossed the WIndies get their act together as test cricket wil be better for it.

Saved by the bell 8-)

This, definitely.

True. Their bowling attack does seem a lot more potent now than it has been in recent years. Roach is a very good opening bowler, and Edwards is more than useful if he can stop getting injured. Gabriel has impressed in this game and they have Rampaul out injured at the moment.

They do however seem to be missing a good spinner, although didn't Shillingford impress when they played Australia recently?

Having the last day of the test on a Monday is a f***ing joke.

Watched the fucker all weekend then had to miss final part because of work. They should start on a Thursday and end Saturday/Sunday.

So a 5 day test starting on a Thursday ends on a Monday, is that what you want?

Most day 5s don't happen though.
