Twisted

Striker
England Unchanged for this test. Cheers for taking Onions then

Windies bring Shillingford back in, ridicoulous decision to drop him after taking 10 wickets in the previous test, and they paid the price quite literally by being fined for a slow over rate.

Fairly suprising they've left out Fidel Edwards and brought in Rampaul.

TEAMS
England: A Strauss (capt), A Cook, J Trott, K Pietersen, I Bell, J Bairstow, M Prior (wk), T Bresnan, S Broad, G Swann, J Anderson.

West Indies: A Barath, K Powell, K Edwards, D Bravo, S Chanderpaul, M Samuels, D Ramdin (wk), D Sammy (capt), K Roach, R Rampaul, S Shillingford.

Has Liz Hurley shagged the life out of Shane Warne ?? he looks ill....

Is it just me or has Broad and Anderson's pace dropped significantly ?
Both are below 85mph constantly. Anderson hovering around 80mph.

I've never really trusted the speed guns to be honest, not sure why. Perhaps because bowlers pace does seem to hope up and down randomly so much.

Par score for a first innings test match here is 326.

Anderson starts off with a maiden, whilst Broad leaks 8, one being a tiny nick which bounces just in front of strauss before going over his hands and straight to the boundary. Anyone else would have got a death stare but not the captain

9-1 excellent catch to the side of his head by anderson from broadys bowling

edit: cracking catch that like, just stuck a hand out and snagged it at some pace

Barath the man gone, 0 (13)

If only Jimmy could field for his bowling.....

Edit: There's a lbw in the waiting here

he is a great slip catcher, big boots to fill but since colly has left youre right he probably is our best fielder, him and bell

Yep, Bell can certainly pouch a sharp chance as well.

Bumble getting shit on

Edit: and in his drink

Well bowled Jimmy, STUMPS GONE!

Holding bigging up Bravo far too much, he's getting out soon.

I really feel for Holding, such a great player, great commentator and oozes passion for West Indies cricket, you can hear how much it destroys him watching this limp offering from them.

Poor old Windies, would love to see them get back to their former greatness but it seems unlikely to ever happen, considering the poverty in the carribean & the amount of equipment & pitches need to play cricket

Beware, am i of mystical power 8-)

Noticed the wicket was from from a ball with a wobbled seam. Seen Broad talking about him and Jimmy perfecting this recently, saying it makes it much more difficult for batsmen as they can't predict which way it will go. Anyone got any clues as to how this is done? (Doesn't look obvious from the release).

The problems go much deeper, with all the politics that go with it.

Also, to be fair, it would take some doing for ANY nation to get to the standards of THAT WIndies side. I think they are improving again, although at a very slow rate.

Nasser talking off the wobbled seam now so I should get my answer.
