Hundred for Sammy.

very happy for him, both personally and because it makes this test a real test.

bresnan ripping out the tail enders now, currently 4-98 despite being 1-83 at the end of play yesterday, fudging his numbers slightly.

366-9

370 all out, shillingford stumped off swanny

It might take until 9 tonight to complete 540 legitimate deliveries. Absolutely dreadful lack of discipline from the Windies.

Trott out LBW, referral didn't work, just clipping leg.

My initial reaction was it was going down leg, surprised umpire gave it.

I thought it was a bad referral tbh, looked like it would be close enough to stay onfield.

was more surprised by the lbw on chanderpaul yesterday, looked like not out to me, even on hawkeye it didnt look right to me.

KP hits a big early 6 and going nicely at 14 off 11, strauss reaches 50

TBH, I know Hawkeye showed it was clipping leg but it was a bad decision by the umpire IMO. There was enough doubt there IMO for him to give it not out, that my certainly my initial reaction anyway.

Very good ton from Strauss, although some of the bowling was suspect. Think this innings also highlights why those who want Pietersen out the side need to have a word with themselves. He is our only true world class batsman who is capable of getting us into winning positions when most others cant. The rate in which he scores can totally change a game. Interesting to see how tomorrow goes but it is already shaping up to be another good test match.

Cue Nick Knight

Can see us getting 500+ if that pitch stays the same, would love to see Bairstow get a good knock.

Anyone whose called for Pietersen to be dropped at any point in the last 5 years wants their heads kicked in. Cook, KP, Broad are the only genuine world Xl players we have.
