As for Bell, 2 100's in 130 odd matches, about 3/4 match winning knocks for a bloke that bats in the top 3 is just not good enough, consistently scores 40-60 but not a matchwinner.

Hales would probably go 0,0,120,0,100- Better to have matchwinners in the team

well the shot cook played was abysmal. a wide waft at a ball, at least 5 foot wide of the stumps. as for the bell dismissal, how many times does he get out, when looking like a million dollars and a ton was on?

i hve enjoyed the play of ballance who has lovely straight bat follow through. root did not cross the rope, when the rain came, so if there is to be a reduction in overs, a change is needed in the batting order.

this is when we shall see if moores is doing anything, as if root comes out and the overs are reduced, it will confirm to me, moores is clueless.

if it is root, we will likely tootle along and leave the power hitters in bopara and buttler the last 4 overs

this is also a big game for morgan, as it is about time he produced again

i applaud moores for changing the batting order, as instructed by me :lol:

but as i said, morgan is living on past performances, as recently he is bringing little to the game.

well played ballance 50 off 62, he needs to up the tempo now.

122 for 3 off 26. four power play overs to come, plus the change in fielding regs at the end. i think we need 250

ballance out caught cow corner off this dibbly dobbly non spinner senanayake for 64 off 72. poor shot again by england but the lad did well. in comes ravi, who dislocated a finger in the warm up

this duckworth lewis always confuses me. if we get 220 that will be changed to 234

now bopara does not review a lbw to the dibbly straight spinner for 3. would have been not out, as hit outside of off stump.

this bowler would be getting smashed straight by the likes of warner, watson gayle. england appear incapable of hitting straight back over the bowlers head

mystery spinner according to strauss. only changing pace, the ball is moving about an inch of straight

this is a moores type of team performance. at last a 6, good shot root.

said the other day in the t20 we will have to suffer this summer. the man is perfect for championship county cricket, but is out of his depth internationally.

It needed to be someone like kirsten, moores won't shake up this terrible decade old approach to short form cricket.

I have no idea how the tests will go, I'm sure we'll rely on jimmy swinging it against sub continent players not used to it.

anyone bar moores, how someone, with proven failure, is rehired is beyond me

thank god for jordan hitting it straight, how unusual.

well played buttler, root and jordan at the end, ballance did well as bell did, who tossed his wicket away.

jordan scored a fantastic 38 off 12 balls, with straight hitting. watch and learn morgan, cook etc.

247 for 6. adjusted target by dl is 259 off 39

we took a record score for malinga off his overs, i said 250, so 3 short but adjusted to 259 to win

malinga went for 8-0-71-0 mainly by buttler and jordan.

now will we have a third man?. cross bat shots get you out on this wicket, so hopefully sri lanka will play like that.
