I hope Bopara never plays again. Plays as a bowler basically because his batting is dreadful. Are you seriously telling me that there is not a better bowling all-rounder in the whole country than Ravi fuckin Bopara. Sometimes, I honestly think that some of our top club players would do better in an England shirt than him.

Well at least the weather held up...

Still had a canny day despite our performance with the bat.

truly abysmal and instead of bell being interviewed, why not moores?

no discussions going on with not out batsmen, what is the point of moores, sitting there, writing copius notes and not speaking to the players?

I'm not sure. I didn't see today btw.

But surely if a batsman plays a shit shot it's the fault of the batsman not the coach
it is down to the batsman in the end, but moores sits there and it would be good to see him speak to the players. todays chunks, he sat next to cook oir inside writing in his notebook. there appeared no chat between him, farbrace and saker, and they all had the body language of people who wished they were anywhere but here
i am extremely worried how this summer is going to go. i fear we will lose every series and as for planning for the odi world cup, the selections of carberry and to a lesser extent bell are laughable.

England has been determined to get Moores back in and as we know nowadays it doesnt matter whether you are good at what you do, its whether your face fits or not. Moores clearly does, like all yes men.

Well done England BTW...a sterling effort.

Where ? Was £4.20 for us?

In the members lounge. The only downside, apart from the cricket, was the amount of qprs in there that had no idea about cricket etiquette. A couple of arguments started because of this during the England innings.

Some prices from the members lounge yesterday:
Fosters/Marstons Pedigree - £3.20
Marstons Smooth - £2.80
Bottle of Bulmers - £3.20 or £3.50 depending on who served you.

These are also the prices for DCCC games. Prices are normally the same as outside for England games but apparently they were kept the same because we'd been moved to another part of the ground to cater for the prawn sandwich brigade.

Aye, and with the game finishing very early we thought we'd have a beer while we waited for the bus.

Nee chance, all shutters were down as quick as the last England wicket.

You could get food etc but basically it smacked of,

We don't trust you to drink more and behave so f**k off.

Thought this was the entertainment business?

Well that was shit yesterday, wish it has rained all day..

Atleast, for £4.20 the beer wasn't too bad - marstons smooth I think it was...
