Strange decision to take the batting power play straight after the mandatory one

127 and counting for balls.

I appreciate not every ball can be hit for 4, but if even half those dots earned 1 run, that's an additional 60 on the total.
 
We will never improve until we change the line up. We need to start with hales. We've had our 15 overs of power play and only scored 8 4's in 40 overs. We are playing like a test match.... Again

It is ridiculous situation

They are so so stubborn and nothing has changed, everyone batting a place too low.

Any other team in the world, they would have their equivalent of Hales playing
 
what are the rules regarding this? Im always a bit hazey on this one. I thought once into delivery stride the bowler couldn't do it? In fairness, Buttler had been warned and was trying to gain an unfair advantage (although every single batsman since WG Grace has done the same)

edit - cleared up by comms. Rule changed
 
Hell on. Commentators seem to think it's ok provided he was warned. Remember Gayle getting pissed off with someone doing it a while ago though he didn't take the bails off. For me, walking up the wicket shouldn't be allowed so I've no problem with this

Buttler has no-one to blame but himself.

That said, Im not convinced the pitcher hadnt entered his delivery stride mind
