Vaughan was a class batsman. Did you see the interview with James Taylor yesterday?

The FTECB have employed six people, including Taylor, to go around the country to look for players who they feel will be capable of playing test cricket.

He stated that although stats will be one area, they are being instructed to emphasis character, maturity and natural ability.

Yeah of course, but 99% of top class batsmen have a shit load of runs behind them

Vaughan wasn’t that good like sorry, 2005 has warped peoples opinions of him

Gough is 5'9" - if Curran can up his pace to mid-80s then there's no reason why he couldn't have a career in international cricket. More likely in white ball cricket I'd say
Gough was a lot quicker than Curran and got the ball to swing late, Curran at the minute is swinging it from the hand at a fairly gentle pace. He’ll need to make big strides to have an impact at this level.

He was. Nowt to do with 2005 in which he struck a truly superb 100 at old Trafford

I think your opinion is warped by his post career comments

He has time on his side, just turned 20. If he's prepared to learn and allowed to learn on the job he has a chance. England been crying out for a good leftie for years
