seen quite a lot of him in domestic 20/20 (as go to a lot of Essex 20/20 games) and he is as good as any other on the county circuit, not as destructive as some, but still does 'the job' all the same, although there is a significant gulf in class between domestic and international 20/20

It's only taken 98.4 overs to hit a six

250 is piss poor after the start we got, but I can't see Pakistan getting anywhere near it again as long as we bowl like we did on Monday.
 
We will win but just another pointless one for the batsmen bar cook. We should be aiming to smash teams out of games and 2 in 2 we haven't done that

Any sort of ODI win in the sub continent is a massive achievement for England. We haven't the personnel to smash teams out of the game sadly. Even without massive hitters we should have scored 30 more runs from our innings given the position we were in though
 
My point is that we need to be showing we can make use of good starts forget whether it's sub continent or not we should have got 280 we will get nowhere in odi cricket if we can't accelerate at the end

Easier said than done - we worked the ball around well and came unstuck when we were trying to launch it on slow pitches. 300+ was never on but perhaps if they had continued to work it around they might have got another 20 runs which might be the difference between winning and losing.
 
Disagree 300 hundred was on even if it is a slow pitch, neither used there feet to go down the pitch nor did they enough times make room to play square of the wicket. Poor finish and IMO quite selfish as very few risks were taken particularly when we have lads who can hit down to number 9
 
Havent seen any of the play in either games but take out Cooks 100s has much been learnt by the majority of the batsmen in either game?

Cook is simply class, but the rest seem pretty clueless still
