Westley, Malan, Stoneman, Vince, Dawson, Hameed, Denly, Burns, Ansari, Patel, Duckett, Pope, Hales, Borthwick, Roy: 1 Test century in 88 matches.

But he's not a test number 3, we need openers and a number 3. Roy should be given a chance but Burns is looking increasingly incapable and Denly is a ludicrous choice to bat at number 3 in test cricket. There's not many alternatives out there - I make a strong case for Sibley, but Denly is a lazy and poor selection.

The stats speak for themselves, I know you dislike the fella but he by-far outscores any other player in the redball game than any other player in the country by a large margin.
 
More deckchairs on the Titanic with our top order. Roy was never the answer, he's middle order batsman in first class cricket.
