I think it was gill who had a lie down for 8 mins when we lost the ninth wicket for a touch of cramp , tapping down the crease because a player was uncomfortable

There’s 50 mins of absolutely nothing happening

Then reviews and drinks breaks
 

Well it will be interesting to see what the deductions will be for the WTC Table

It’s a f***ing disgrace. The umpires are weak as piss. Apart from Joel Wilson, I’ve not seen many more clueless “elite” umpires than this Saikat fella. Him and Reiffel just let players do what they want between overs. They should be made to stay there till they’ve bowled 90 overs, or they should refund the percentage lost to the paying spectators.

The last straw today was getting that mallet out for the crease as pant was uncomfortable in his stance

This was at 5 to 6 and it didn’t change a damn all day
 
India batted sensibly for the close there... the overate is a massive issue, especially when the crowds have been as sparse for a series in England for a long time.

That’s it mate, players waste time take the piss and let’s blame the officials?

Yes they could do more but how about fines to players they the ones actually doing it
 
The over rate is shocking, all day yesterday they were behind and no attempts made to get back up to speed with it. It's a joke when you've paid £160 a ticket, to see players walk off in glorious sunshine when there's almost ten overs left to bowl, which could easily be accommodated.

Shocking really. Broad made a point on comms about how as a player you are so in the zone that you don’t notice, but now he’s a spectator it irritates him. The umpires need to start getting stricter. Shorten the lunch and tea intervals if needs be

He said new ball on 60 overs but no changes after alllowed

Would be interesting if adopted , I think it’s a joke how often it’s changed

And the procedure of waiting for the third ump to come down flights of stairs and then strolling to the middle

Leave the box out there , they have little areas where things can be stored out sight

Today was an absolute insult to the people paying way over a £100

They get fined all the time and it makes no difference. You’ve answered it yourself. They could do more. A lot more. They just let players bring drinks on, bring the physio on. Paul Reiffel moves so slowly from square leg. Yes it’s mainly the players but the umpires should do a lot more. Stuart Broad said it himself today.
