England v India - Third Test, 10/07

Ben Raine esque bowling from Reddy here

At the highest level , you should be ashamed to get out on this pitch to a sub 80mph bowler

Yes there’s a touch of swing but Haway. It’s not going around corners

.

Reddy is bowling sub 80 mph here

To be unable to see him off is incompetent batting
Simple as that eh? Bowls slower so should get carted all around? How come the best batsman England had ever produced is struggling too? Is he incompetent in your eyes?

The likes of Mohammed Asif, Philander and even terry Alderman barely bowled above 80mph. He looks very dangerous swinging it and bowling with great control. Hes troubling Joe Root and there no better batsman than him.

Spot on. It's crackers on here, proper football style tribalism. There's been some great deliveries.

Not really though is he

80 mph is the definition of cannon fodder

14 balls root had been in is not a large enough sample size to prove your point

Come on now. He is not any of those bowlers who all proved their skill over a long career

It’s military medium with a little bit of swing

We fail and it’s just basic incompetence

Sometimes that's all you need. Bit of late movement

And batsmen at this level should have the time to react when it’s sub 80mph

I’ve said it enough now and it’s time to move on

You really saying that reddy is bowling unplayable deliveries at 80 mph

If this was t20 he would have been carted all over the ground

Laugh at that

No it isn't. Shane Warne cannon fodder was he? Pace is just one element of the game. Shaun Tait was probably the fastest bowler around. Was he the best? Was Jimmy Anderson shit at 84 mph compared to Brett lee at 90+? Is 81mph OK but 79mph cannon fodder. At what pace does a bowler not become cannon fodder?
