The only (minor) complaint is that it came from overthrows not a deliciously times leg side nudge off his hips for four. Or a square cut. Something really Cook-like.

He's batted absolutely beautifully in this match and, to be honest, it makes you wonder why he's leaving. Lord knows, we have nothing remotely close even to his slightly diminished self, let alone him in his pomp.

One of England's greatest batsman. The two best of my lifetime by a distance were him and KP, real shame they had such chronically clashing personalities.

Crucial in the context of match too. And some idiots wanted him peddled for this game!!!
