aye he kept well on awful pitches but he looked like a rabbit in the headlights batting

I’ve no doubt foakes is a better keeper than buttler but he isn’t the answer for runs
I’ve seen him a lot and he’s on the decline
he blew his chance tbh I thought he looked poor batting wise
Buttler tried today like. Lasted more than the rest combined
Foakes always seems to the SMB stock answer whenever England are poor. He’s not a better batsman than Buttler or Bairstow, and wicket keeper isn’t the problem.

Butler isn't the answer either. So if fit, you may as well pick your better wicket keeper. Even today he should have been out cheaply flashing needlessly at a wide delivery
unless he can open the batting mate then it’s probs best to move on!
