totally agree eating up balls scoring steadily but even if one of these fall they have pant who they will want to score quick runs, why I love test cricket good batting here

Guess I look at the game differently guys.
The modern way seems to make sure you don’t lose rather than try to put yourselves in a position to win.
They may have played it perfectly to stop them losing, but ambition to actually win the game I am not seeing

Tbf that's the old school approach. There's no need for India to try and force a result. They will get more chances as our batting is so fragile

to be honest mate reminds me of years ago playing not to lose so many tests finishing 1-0 etc due to teams batting out good old school cricket.

I don’t disagree with you, but I always feel in situations like this that the side chasing has a better chance of winning the fewer overs they have to get the runs.

Which is not my outlook on cricket in general.
I may be stating the obvious but a win is a better result than a draw.
Sometimes it seems to me draw and win are accepted as equal when they not.
Maybe too much pressure and every move watched but sometimes taking calculated risks is worth a go to win a game.
But all too often it’s making sure we don’t lose first and if a win comes so be it.
Personally that is negative to me but accept others don’t see it that way
