I popped in for a brew and a look about and have left again. Do I qualify or must I actually see a live delivery?
Lets see how Cook approaches this day. The experts are saying if we haven't got them at least seven down by lunch he needs to think about the next test and save his bowlers. I tend to agree.
Soft shites.

And for those who paid £20 for the day?
Charge them on the way out too? They were daft enough to cough up.

He's being particularly scathing - worth remembering that England are going through a rough patch (as all teams do, in cycles) as we integrate a number of young players in to the team. Over the last 12-24 months we have lost Strauss, Pietersen, Trott, Swann & Bresnen (effectively). Prior is on the wane, Broad has had a lot of injuries and there are signs that Jimmy may be on the decline.

Since 2003 we have been (for the most part) a very successful side, playing a good brand of cricket with some very, very good players. It is quite normal for a team to struggle when it loses it's top players (it took Australia 3 or 4 years to become competitive after the mass exodus in 2007).

Boycott should remember that he was part of some pretty terrible sides, and he himself batted badly on more than a handful of occasions. Too easy to be scathing and it's a very easy game from the commentary box
