Eng vs India - First Test - 20th-24th June

But it's not and Aussie batting isn't great

Has nothing to do with poor bowling options
His point stands. Our bowling is nowhere near good enough for out there. We either have bowlers that do have the qualities to do well out there such as Archer / Wood / Robinson who are unreliable through either fitness or regular injuries. Current bowlers such as Woakes, Potts, Atkinson who just don't have the attributes to do well over there IMO. Carse and Tongue who do have attributes as tall hit the deck bowlers but dont really have control.

You could argue that Australia batting isn't as good as India maybe as well

Pant is class and has played well, but I’d love to see the analysis for false shots / luck in this innings. Anecdotally it seemed very rash early on, but perhaps I’m just being bitter!

On the topic of Bashir - who would you bring in.

The sensible option is Dawson for the here and now, but unlikely to do anything in Australia.

One of the Ahmed brothers are the exciting options but ones just started and the other is inconsistent.

Brook has given up 26 chances off legal deliveries in the last 12 months and dropped 13 times. No batsman has been dropped more.

I imagine our entire team has offered up more chances than other teams due to the way we play.
