You can't exactly blame Hales when he got 60 odd off 40 odd.

I'm not sure Prior is the answer either. He's failed loads of times in limited overs cricket. I'd rather Bairstow or Buttler was given the gloves and bring Lumb back into the team. Him and Hales were very good at the top when we last won this.

I see your point about Prior but I think he's developed his game a bit and he had a great summer domestically in one dayers.

Just to be pedantic it was Lumb and Kieswetter when we won it. I don't mind Kieswetter so much and Lumb barely ever seems to reach 20.

Didn't see that stage of the game but what the hell was Bairstow doing and why didn't Morgan come in before him? He usually comes in at 4

We just sadly lack the dymamic batsmen of other teams and certainly lack batting and bowling depth. Out of the 8 teams in the Super 8's, I would rank us 8th currently.

We have a punchers chance against NZ, but I can see the Sri Lankan spinners giving us a torrid time. Would like to see Briggs get a bowl at some stage in the next 2 games and Morgan moved up the order.
