Eng v South Africa 3rd Test

It's certainly doable this, if very unlikely, after this little period of counter attcking. Have to keep the run rate decent and really go for it, and have a lot of luck to boot, but 250 is imminetly gettable in two sessions.

Question is if that does happen will it obscure the few salient point that have been raised again, such as whether Strauss warrants a place on his captaincy alone, and whether four in attack, in a team which has it's most strength and depth in the bowlers, makes sense

I agree. Still a big task but if it was the other way round, I'd be just a little bit nervous.

Not so sure, their galacticos are getting on. Will be tough but best chance we've had of beating them there in a while imo

They could play their schoolboy team and still give us a run. Fact is, it's a horrible place to tour, the pitches do not suit our bowlers and most english teams seem to want to go home within about 2 days of getting there. Close run thing for first 2 tests but a tanking after that (once the Delhi belly truly kicks in).

I think England have done well today apart from the shocking run out of Taylor. Bairstow has led the way with an attacking approach and Broad and Prior have batted in similar fashion, scoring runs quickly without playing really stupid shots.

We will probably lose but without capitulating (openers and Bell excepted) in the usual manner.
