I'm probably clutching at straws, just they reckon its a fantastic batting pitch.
Rose bowl usually is, but I just don't see us having the capability to chase down a score of this magnitude when we have players at the top of the inninngs(cook, trott) who just aren't good enough one day batsmen far too slow in the main.

I think i'm right in saying that trott has never hit a 6 in an ODI(edit he's hit 2 was zero last time I checked)

Cooks hit 6

And cooks playing well :lol::lol:

typical now lets see if he can build on this

It's on mate. :-)

All the bowling looks really friendly. It's up to England's top 5 to make the most of a beautiful batting wicket.

Typical Bell, no need for shots like that. It's such a good wicket and outfield you just need to knock it about for singles, put away the bad balls and you'll pick up 2's if you put it in the right place. Winds me up when a player in an ODI plays a defensive shot then just stands there holding the pose, should be looking to manoeuvre the ball into the gaps and pick up at least a run a ball.

I hoped this would be entertaining and England would change their approach from 'leaving it up the middle order'
