Played Sweden and Bulgaria in Euro 2000 qualifiers

Michael Gray played as a sub v Sweden then started Bulgaria game. Never got capped again

Yes, we had huge reserve game attendances that season against Man Utd, Liverpool and Derby County.

He might be confusing with young Michael Owen who scored in that record attendance game a year or two later.

Yep, it was the Rangers friendly, in the summer of 99, that was on Channel 5.

The Liverpool game was on Sky. We played well but narrowly lost.

I seem to remember the Liverpool game was trying to beat an attendance record and it was free to get in.

You sat in different seats and it was full of lasses and bairns.

I think McManaman was the most famous Liverpool player on the field as he was coming back from injury.
