That's called common sense and giving a service to the public that pay for it. Its like the night time economy - Last metro around Newcastle to Sunderland is 23.10 which is tight or at least stressful if at a gig or Theatre Show that overruns.......Extra metros at full time is and will always be the solution.
We leave our seat 2min before the final whistle so we're close to an exit when it blows and even then there has been times when me and the bairn have been stuck at st peters for an hour. If you're not on the 1st metro then you risk the earlier leavers getting on at Sunderland and leaving no room for at peters.
There should be a 30min gap with no metros from the 60th min of the match then a metro every 10min for an hour after full time.
Its a good point. If I leave the match at the end but aim to come straight home I'm often back in Easington around 6pm.I don’t understand why people can’t just add an extra 20 or 30 minutes on to the length of time the match takes. Fair enough if there’s something important you’ve got to get away for but the vast majority are out for the day at the match.
Yesterday took us 15 minutes to get out from near the back of the concourse, stopped for a greasy burger by the cafe and by the time we got served the streets were virtually clear. I could never get my head round the mentality that you have to ‘beat’ everyone and be first to get away.
Ha Ha - Get more loyalty points if you tap out after the final whistle!!!!! In truth it does improve the overall visual which is basically in the interest of the clubs branding. You should have to tap your ST on the way out if you leave before full time. Then on renewal you pay an inconvenience tax for those who continually get their view blocked by early leavers
But surely that wouldn't be fair on folk that want/need to use the metro that haven't been to the match? There should be a 30min gap with no metros from the 60th min of the match then a metro every 10min for an hour after full time.
Not sure you understand how crazy you sound when you are confused why people care about early leavers when you care so much about what people think about early leavers. You seem obsessed and it's a tad hypocritical.
The fact you care so much about Sunderland fans wanting the stadium to be better , about wanting it to be more passionate and the fans to support till the end is confusing to me, but I don't get angry about your posts , Im just baffled why you protest so much and get quite aggressive about it.
A 'no mark' - it's a message board. We can all be irrelevant; we are only not irrelevant to you if we are not ignored. The fact you keep responding, are all over these threads, try to be abusive to posters for trying to give advice should tell you a thing or two. Look after your self
They don't at Southampton either.
Arsenal and man city and Brighton are three poor clubs for it. And of course us.
Though I doubt the clubs mentioned would have anyone leaving 0-0 v man u when playing really well.
About time the mods merged the multiple early leavers threads this place is infected with.
Beyond tedious now.
That's an audience.. not supportIm absolutely fine.
Dont need advice from a complete stranger.
IF you dont like me content.
Thats very easily solved...
Ignore or block.
Doesn't bother me
It is isn't it.
Same boring thread posted after most home games.
Simple facts are
People will come and go as they please
That would be some sacrifice you’d have to make to stay til the end .Said on another thread, I left on 86 minutes and was in the house at 5:05 in washy.
If i'd stayed till the final whistle i'd have had half an hour with a cold bairn getting rained on waiting for the park and ride bus.
Then about another half hour on the bus crawling up kier hardy way.
Then another half an hour in the car waiting to get over the a19 roundabout.
Fuck that for a game of soldiers. If the weather is fine or we are going into town after I stay til the end but sometimes its just not the sensible thing to do.

Aye Nexus only have one metro train like don’t theyBut surely that wouldn't be fair on folk that want/need to use the metro that haven't been to the match?
It's a public service - not just for match goers
When I was going every home game bloke in front of me used to leave right on the dot
Every 80 minutes I pulled him about it
He turned round said got bugger all to do with you son
I've not said they 'Only have one train' though have I?Aye Nexus only have one metro train like don’t they![]()
The excuse they use is the stretch of line from Pelaw to Sunderland is not run by Nexus its network rail which the Newcastle to Boro trains and Grand Central use aswel. Grand Central trains to London have to go to the branch line at Pelaw to get on to the main East Coast main lineI've not said they 'Only have one train' though have I?
The post I quoted said that there should be no metros for half an hour then a more regular service for when the match ends, which I said was unfair on people needing the metro that haven't been to a match.

True it was full and everyone celebrated at the end, loads leaving early on Saturday tho , most were family’s tbfHow many of the early leavers left early in the Newcastle match in December? genuine question.
Its like no other teams have themCan we stop talking about it? It’s getting boring. Let’s just move on — it’s up to them.
It’s pointless tbh, ppl will argue it’s their choice and mind your own business, while others will wonder what’s the point in going if you can’t see the whole game, I live in the same direction and it took us half an hour to get homeAre you saying that it takes you 90 minutes to get to the A19 roundabout if you leave at full time?
That's the bit I can't get my head around.
I understand that you get home much earlier if you leave the game a bit early. But... so what? Surely 10 additional minutes supporting your team is better than 30 or 40 additional minutes on the couch?
I mean, why not just stay at home? You'll beat everyone in the Very Important Getting Home Race that way.
Exactly.Agree, but what I couldn't understand yesterday was people leaving with about a minute left, whats the point?
And it's up to the rest of us to hold our opinions too. Every week if need be.Can we stop talking about it? It’s getting boring. Let’s just move on — it’s up to them.
