I am driving back past Herrington and hope the crowds have left there as well so I am back by 8pm.

51 points on the board, thus far, and currently 10th top of the Premier League, (with European football next season, a real possibility) in our first season back in the top division, after previously suffering eight years of dross, disillusionment & downright despair, in the football wilderness, of 2nd & 3rd tier football, when hopes of watching us playing again in the Premier League, seemed as remote, as me getting down & dirty with Helen Skelton, in some faraway, tropical love nest, at Sunny Seaton Carew.
Well done, Lads - you've far exceeded all hopes & expectations, and have done us all immensely proud, and have shown what can be achieved, through hard work, dedication, determination, unity, togetherness, strength of character & belief.

I won’t be there unfortunately but if I was, would be staying till the end regardless of the result, probably been the best season supporting Sunderland in my lifetime (40 next month) and this group deserve our appreciation for their efforts this season.
The club need to tell the stewards who open the coach barriers there is a lap of appreciation and the barriers dont need opening quick.
Last couple of seasons they have opened them quick as hell and insisted the coaches all went which meant a fair few missed our coach
