Early leavers and final whistle on Sunday

Am not really getting the argument that fans are duty bound to stay till the very end and show gratitude to pro footballers. That's the sort of approach we take for service personnel or healthcare workers

Are Sunderland unique in having a sizable online presence of fans who feel the need to slag off their fellow fans every week? Or insist that people who make their own decisions should feel guilty

As for the OP, his rambling on the match thread about fans was getting lost in traffic hence this thread. not even his first on the topic seemingly
Unique in having such a sizable portion of fans leave before full time (with a sizable portion proudly boasting online about it)

Need to just stop these threads, just the same things being said every time. Even in a perfect world with no traffic or delays etc the early leavers will likely still leave early anyway and the people who stay will always stay.

Can't say I've ever seen anyone change their opinion on the matter in the multiple threads we've had about this. People are gunna do as they please, me personally I don't quite get it especially when the game is on the balance but what will be will be

The bi-weekly hang up about it is bizarre

Possibly the most popular post match thread

Not about the game, individual player performances, manager decisions etc

Nope, a fixation on those who left before 90 mins

It actually inflames the perception that it's an issue unique to Sunderland .

Go to Google and type in any Premier team, then fans leaving early.
Believe me, we are not unique.

I only leave early when am dying for a shite and would rather subject the pub toilets to that rather than the stadium.

It was freezing, mind. Definitely the coldest in recent memory for me.

If it’s any consolation I stayed sat in me recliner until the final whistle.
So did OP.

Yes, yes, people buy their tickets and do what they want etc etc. ….. have we not learnt anything from last season where we made a difference as a crowd at the very end.

Sat in corporate as a 1 off and it was embarrassing seeing the amount of people leaving early.

Let’s not be like the mage TIL THE END!!! FTM
