Early Leavers - Again!

Haha yeah.

We definitely do it a fair bit, our stadium set up makes it easier to spot too. Old school stadiums it’s not as easy to do or as easy to spot. The walk way all around the bowl makes it easy for people to move around and makes it easy to spot.

Met by. “We can see you sneaking out.”

I do laugh at ours. A few get shouted at near us to come back and face the shit like the rest of us.
They should be hearded back in with Cattle prods is that allowed🤣

That’s a lot of bull.

To the folk who say "why should it bother you?"

A large part of the match day experience is the atmosphere. It is almost universally accepted that a large and noisy crowd at the match is beneficial to both the team and the mood of the majority of the crowd. People leaving early affects the atmosphere in a bad way.

If everyone left early and no one was left in the stadium we would quite rightly be a laughing stock. Would you be content with that?

People can do what they like. And others can criticise them.

This is something that always winds me up.

The players have went on record saying how much it spurs them on to see the place packed and encouraging them in the final minutes. Therefore you’d think some people would take the hint and stay put.

I’m also adamant that the reason people get so irate when called out about it is because they know it’s pretty shite behaviour but they don’t want to change their ways so they get defensive.

Get over it people have been leaving games up and down the county much longer than you’ve been going to games 🤷

Always makes me laugh at people moaning at this as if it’s something new or just a Sunderland thing
The main gates at Roker park were opened about 10/15 minutes before the end and that was in the sixties!

Once again happens at most grounds and more visible/prominent at some compared to others.

Not a Sunderland specific problem again like its always made out to be. Pay your money, do what you want at the end of the day.

Might actually be worth a moan about if you got an extra point for less than 100 early leavers before 90 minutes...
Exactly totally correct. I think these posters are worse than the early leavers. 😂

I honestly don’t know what people are watching they seem to want to create a negative narrative.
It simply hasn’t been an issue this season but obviously that’s what some want to believe, you’d think the saddo’s would be happy.

Big crowds gathered around the floodlights in the Fullwell End with about 10 minutes to go, ready for the final whistle and a dash for the exits.
Similar to the ones who leave their seats only to stand on the concourse and stairways.

Plenty of clubs have it and that includes championship teams aswell. It is what it is, people have their reasons and so be it. I would rather criticize those who don't attend a match. There are plenty on here who never attend yet are the first to have a go.
Personally we always leave our seats with a minute or so to go and walk down to one of the tunnels where we stand and see the ref blow. Then we leg it.

Another spot on post mate, as per as has been said, most on here do not go, but whinge on
Nee whinge from me its a tradition man

It is called choice, people will continue to do it.
