Durham's one day cup campaign

Mike Booth is another player that went to Durham University and the club completely ignored him, whilst almost every county in the country offered him a deal.

Connors and Bailey, so far, look completely out of their depth at this level.

Apart from Rhodes in the T20 Blast and the odd decent score from Gay, our signings this season have been very disappointing.

Yet we are letting one of our own go who looks like developing into quite a good bowler.
Rhodes has had a canny 50 over series, top run scorer and wicket taker

That's that then. 3 wins and 5 defeats in a competition we weren't as disadvantaged by hundred call-ups as a lot of other counties.

Worried about the state of our bowling ranks going into next season based on the performances we've seen in the last couple of months.
I'd say missing potts Parky Clark McKinney is pretty big

Well we made a game of it as it looked like we were going to be thrashed at one stage and would struggle to put 200 runs on the board. Hopefully Connors can come good at least he does have some FC experience to build on. Bailey, unfortunately, reminds me of Ollie Gibson whereby he sort of looks the part but his bowling figures tell a completely different story. I suppose he can only improve.

Well fair to say as more than a few said at the start of the season we where short in the bowling department.

Most of the recent signings under North have been utter dross. But when you keep sighing bowlers with first class averages of 40 is it any wonder.

Parkinson, Drissell and Conners all sub standard first class bowlers. They have just signed Aldridge also with a first class average of almost 40.

Rhodes has been very good in white ball and equally as poor in red ball.

Gay been very much all or nothing 4 huge games left this season confidence in the group must be very low.

An indication of North 's evaluation of bowlers
signings
Economy Rates
Bailey 8.5
Connors 8.1

released
Killeen 4.8

To Campbell's credit he always fronts up after a game regardless of result.
Where's the Director of cricket- ultimately he's the director

Well that was a very low key day at the Riverside all round. It actually felt at times like it was the last couple of days of the season in late September.
Lees again holding our batting together and Barnard again showing what a very good county cricketer he is.
That was my first visit this season to the Riverside for a one day cup match as I said very flat.
