I think Rocky, Colly, Rushworth and Onions will be the key players next season, with Mustard, Benks, Jennings and Borthwick chipping in. Thank god England have such a strong bowling attack at the moment.

anaar, but Onions is just too good to avoid England forever

Anyway, it would be good to see him play an Ashes series

Well deserved win.

Cant see plunkett being with the county next year. Allegedly speaking with Notts, Middlesex & Yorkshire.

Up in the air about whether blackwell and harmison will see out their contracts; the best bet is that blackwell wont be but Harmison will be.

Wish it was the other way, Blacky has a lot more to offer than Steve

Just got home from the ground 15 mins ago. Great craic 2nite. Will write up in morning

best player at the club by a distance ability wise is Stokes

 Love end of season craic after the game. Shame I was driving last night, wasn't expecting to be pretty much the last people to leave the ground

Plunkett as mentioned is talking to other clubs, general feeling amongst the majority is that he'll be off.

Don't be suprised to see Blackwell back next season simply because nobody else can afford his Durham wages.

Harmison benefit year has appalled a lot of people. Comparisons made to the poor send off MDV got from the club for example which I felt was a very valid point. Nobody seems to know what is happening with Harmison next season.

Players were excellent craic last night after their drinking session in the dressing room. In Collingwood we've got a cracking captain and I'll be amazed if he doesn't win something as captain of this team, fair few of the players spoke very highly of him and his ideas. Players were very open and honest last night but after a few drinks, you tend to get that

Academy players having meetings about their futures at present.
1 has already had his future decided, but all will be announced by the club in good time, it would be unfair to mention who it is.

We've had a very good end to the season and confidence seems to be back at the club which is very pleasing to see as it was awful watching us earlier on in the season.

My personal opinion is we'll see a fair few leaving during the winter (just my opinion), don't really think we need to tinker much in terms of bringing people in but the general feeling is we need an opener and the club seem to acknowledge we need a batsman for next season.

Memberships next season will include the T20, with a £10 rise and also an offer of paying for 5 years for the price of 4. Some new marketing bloke was at the members Q&A on Wednesday night, hopefully he has some ideas and can promote the club well as this has been lacking in the past.

Heard last night Richardson has turned down a 1 year contract, watch this space I guess, as he batted very well yesterday & when given a chance he's never let anyone down.

Gutted the season has ended, we've played some good cricket recently.

Overall, I think we can look forward to a promising season in 2013, with Collingwood, I strongly believe we're in safe hands and he'll win us something.

Cheers mucka, sounds 90% positive.

Here's to trophies back at the riverside in 2013

What the fuck happened man!!?

As I said a while back, dressing room politics (Harmison), captaincy, team selection issues were the problems. Those pointing to age as the issue were simply assuming and to be fair the likes of Thorp (rewarded with a new contract offer), Benks & Collingwood have performed very well since the captaincy change. The 1st thing Collingwood done as captain was get shot of Harmison, speaks volumes.

As just posted, Collingwood will do well with this team, already seeing signs of confidence boosts etc and much better cricket. We'll have a good one next season.

Age was never an issue & won't be next season.

dont remember a lot TBH. Woke up with Les's coat in my house.

:lol: aye he left it last night in the bar

- just read this. what an absolute disgrace and some comments are simply not true. I hope he's nowhere near our team next season and with Collingwood in charge, that will be the case.

Will people be that arsed about chucking money at Harmison whose performances have got him playing in the 2nd team?

He won't get a penny off me. An opinion shared by a lot of people at the ground yesterday

”I am really looking forward to next season, getting fit and playing the game that I love and that has been so kind to me over the years.”

Wasn't he quoted as saying 'I'd retire if it wasn't for the wages' (or something similar) a few seasons ago?

No idea, just hope he's booted out the club soon. This benefit shite is an absolute disgrace when the club done fuck all for Di Venuto, when they knew at least a week before it was officially announced, that he was retiring. The club are poor with things like this, Mustard record appearances this week and I'm told yesterday was his 500th catch/role in wicket (not sure if that was just in 1st class cricket, was just a passing comment).

I think Harmison is entitled to a benefit as much as the next person.

Although we know he's been a "waste of space" in the last year or two, it doesn't take away from the fact he's had a very very good career for Durham & England.

I do understand that will course uproar on here.
