Question needs raised as to why they maintain on signing loan players instead of giving our own prospects a chance. It looks like Mitch Killeen will now sign for Essex on a 3 year deal, brought about because of lack of opportunity at his home county.

If there was ever a condemnation of academy products it was in the signing of Connors who was presumably regarded more highly than Killeen and others.
