Played against Pringle at junior levels and I can't really remember him bowling, not even sure he bowled off spin at that level. Always seemed a decent batsman but he's never going to make it is he?

He looked really promising with the ball last year but they had no faith in him with the bat seemingly.

He seems to have gone backwards this season if anything, they seem to be picking him in T20 to make up the numbers.

Apart from a ton last week he's done nowt for the 2nds either.

Shame, i saw huge potential in him to fill the role/void left by Ian Blackwell.

How comes 50 over innings take so long? Been at this 3 hours now, most club teams could've done 60 overs in this time.

Urgh. Now our best two bowlers are getting hit out the park by two lads who are no more than club cricketers.

It was a chance for a few lads who are out of form to get some good wickets/runs under their belts but this has just turned out to be an abject turd game.

Played him down Somerset this season in CC, took 2/3 wickets and has never been picked again in that format. He went about a bit, but this was against a Somerset side chasing down a target before the weather set in.

Seems to get bowled at poor times in T20 as well. Some poor knocks of late (excluding the 125 or something last week) but I'm sure he'd be the 1st to admit that

His treatment after that somerset rout was poor. Dropped a game after making his debut in favour of Gareth Breese. Cant have done owt for his confidence, something young spinners thrive on.

Reckon Poynter has a future ahead of him.

A bit early to say either way for me, he should have been out first ball but was dropped off a simple catch to the keeper. Once he got in he played some nice shots and kept the score moving. He kept well enough whilst standing back without having a lot to do, but was untidy at times when standing up to the stumps, but it's understandable with it being his debut in the 1st eleven.

Even with Mustard not being at his best both with the bat and the gloves this season, I still he'll take some shifting.

No offence to Pringle but the Sri Lankans are used to facing spin bowling on pitches that spin...

His dross was hardly going to bother any of them on a pitch that does nowt for spinners..

Canny harsh considering he was our best one day spinner last season.

Borthwick never got a bowl? Odd.

Stoneman also took Jennings OFF when after 3 overs he had been our most economical bowler.

Whats with this Pringle experiment? It doesn't seem to be paying off
He's going to be another promising cricketer whose development will be hindered by our obsession with producing supposedly 3 dimensional cricketers. He was a very promising batsman- let him just concentrate on that. Coughlin will go the same way.
