Simple fact is they shouldn't be staging mixed double headers until the 2nd set of changing rooms are complete. Issue could have been avoided by women using the indoor nets changing rooms when there wouldn't have been a crowd issue.
Just thought if not for the students we'd have got out no bother.

But either way shouldn't have happened tbh.

Anyway nevermind onto to the next one. A missed opportunity for sure as I didn't think that was anywhere near enough at half way surprised we took it so deep.

It was a disastrous tactic bowling Ackermann for that second over.
Sowter probably had his worst figures for us especially his last over
Aldridge bowled one over took a wicket for about 4 runs and never bowled again and Bloody Michael Jones came back to bite us in the backside big time
And Parky isn’t very good really and is naff at fielding

It was a woman's Mercedes. She had parked pointing away from the ground so the rear windscreen was vulnerable. It hit slap bang in the middle of the screen. She was on the blower when I looked across.

Not entirely sure why they need 9/10 security staff. 3 or 4 that were in front of the stand, permanently looking at them and 5/6 in the stand itself.
It’s hardly like Lightning were prime Real Madrid I mean it was total overkill

Frustrating defeat for the men today. The decision to bowl Ackermann 2nd over was strange. Campbell alluded to data that Wells/Jennings don't score as well from spin, I just think it was the wrong spin choice, especially when Parkinson only bowled 2 overs...... I find this very strange.

Also I have absolutely nothing against Aldridge, but why are we signing loan players when De Leede is sat carrying drinks for? I'll be intrigued to see if he plays for the 2nd xi tomorrow.

Fine margins I guess but they just seemed to have just that little bit extra for example the running of 2s.

On the subject of lack of young players, I genuinely believe we can't do much else at the moment. I don't think the young lads are fit enough and I explained the Minto situation. Be interesting to see who plays tomorrow for the 2nd XI.

As for the stewarding.... you'll always get that with the external lot, been the same for years at Durham and the club don't take feedback seriously.

Be interesting to know the legalities of this, there are probably notices up saying owners park cars at their own risk, I certainly wouldn’t be parking my car in the ground when there was a cricket match scheduled.
Saw this happen twice at Darlington in the old Sunday League. First time was Hick and the other Carl Hooper of Kent. I think the latter incident may have involved the club chairman's Jag.

Good post. Ackermann for me has shown very little with the ball since signing and is dining out somewhat on the world record figures he took years ago.

Totally with you on the Aldridge point too, the amount of short-term loans coming into the club to cover, when we could pick someone already in the squad and someone home grown in most cases is worrying. He's a talented cricketer and you can manipulate the system, but it leaves me wondering why release Bushnell if we have to do this.

Would imagine the signs stop the club being liable. But its only a windscreen, usually £50 or so excess (assuming you have windscreen cover) and doesnt affect claims usually. Had mine replaced a few times due to cracks etc
For some reason I think she is/was a patron of Bannatynes. Not sure what the insurance relationship is between DCCC and the gym people. There is obvioulsy implicit or explicit permission to park there.

This is on the website....

All vehicle parking is on the understanding that Durham Cricket accepts no responsibility in respect of loss or damage to vehicles, the contents, or any injury to the occupant/respect of loss or damage to vehicles, the contents, or any injury to the occupant/s or any person visiting the car park. I'm sure the ECB will find a way to dock us some points.
I wish the publicity team emails would stop inclding such rubbish as.....'The atmosphere at Banks Homes was next level' with regard to the Lancashire game. No it wasn't until the very end.
