Durham v Yorkshire T20 Blast

For all the stick Bairstow gets, when they were waiting for the Women's game to end, he obliged everyone who asked for a photo/autograph. Even the rude little shits who shouted at him and those who didn't even seem to say thanks.

Friend of mine's daughter went out with him for a while and he told me what a nice, well mannered chap he was

Who are the adults who seem to collect autographs of absolutely anyone? One of them is a bloke in a Durham 'Port of Tyne' shirt with Clark on the back.

(Quietly pleased its back to the CC gang on Sunday. Can't be arsed with those T20 knackers who get up in the middle of an over and have no idea of the correct way to watch)
First point, those "autograph hunters"... One assumes you mean those who sit outside the home dressing room again the top of the stairs? Some of them are very keen with the autographs, I know one fella is very "professional" about it shall we say and has literally 1000s but it's a private collection. However I'm convinced by looking on eBay some are selling stuff. There is one lady amongst that group who is forever sticking her nose in with everything. I remember 2013 when we won the title, our lass got on canny with Will Smith and he arranged to hand over a shirt at the end of the game (title winning home game Vs Notts) and the look of disgust our lass got off this lady "you don't normally sit round here" I'll never forget (when in fact we always used to sit in the Don Robson stand, moved ironically because of her and some others). Years on and she's still the same, and from what I was told complained about Shouter last year, but can't say for sure if that's true. As for the T20 knackers, again I've mentioned that on here many times. I've missed the last two home games, can't say I'm arsed just a hassle some nights with some in the crowd who are constantly up and down and have zero interest in the game. Much looking forward to tomorrow once I'm home.

Amen to that. This is Mrs RT's (no) first season here and she's not a sun worshipper so we spent the Durham innings in front of the gym in what used to be called S Stand in the old days sitting in the end two seats on the row - well it was just a procession of folk going backwards and forwards in front of us all the time and, as you say, 90% of them were doing this while the bowler were running in.

At the break we decided to move and meet up with the two members of the Trapdoor Army in attendance and enjoyed the rustic pleasures of that stand.

Other than that it was a great result.

Showing my age here but just like his dad. I remember Boycott and Bluey instructing over a hundred of us to stand in an orderly line outside Ropery Lane cricket ground in the late 1970s and signing autographs for each and every one.

With the honourable exception of a couple of them they're rather strange folk.

Yeah one we both know of is a cracking fella. Just some of them are a bit OTT mainly the one I've mentioned. I can well believe she complained about Shouter because he doesn't miss a thing & is always nosey. The amount of autographs that appears on eBay for Durham is very noticeable though.

Etiquette is sadly lacking in a Friday night t20

Just wait till July 4 when I’m in attendance.

I don’t know what the issue is but the audience has become a bit frustrating at some T20 games. As we’ve mentioned you have people getting up and down all the time but nobody seems to simply stay still. People wandering around mid over, blocking the view etc

Yorkshire fan here. Well played Durham deserved winners, but your 2nd team would beat us at the moment. We are crap!!
Really strange as on paper that’s a decent side in T20

You ran into Durham in both games at their best

We were poor midweek down Worcester

Autograph hunters are a very strange breed…

Yeah found that happening so much in recent years our lass has stopped going, it drives her nuts. I'm just glad it's back to the proper stuff tomorrow

Last season I remember having to ask someone to stop blocking the view by standing on the stairs almost every home game. They normally move when you’re polite but they shouldn’t be there in the first place. Missed a wicket once
