Durham v Yorkshire (h) T20

There must be a big crowd expected as even The Trapdoor was been given a thorough inspection on Tuesday afternoon by an official to make sure that the 200 Durham supporters who sat in it for the previous CC game against Worcs werent still hiding in there.

I would have thought the pisshead element of the Yorkshire support would have been concentrating their humorous chants and behaviour on the Aussies at Headingley but maybe not!

Have to fancy our chances against a Yorkie side that have had a largely demoralising campaign. Regarding the crowd, I had worried that the poor Yorkshire form might put off their usually fantastic travelling support - but hopefully its a sell out and the coffers are well and truly swelled. What's more, I hope it further whets the appetite for supporters for next seasons Blast (FTECB & FTH)

How big a crowd is expected for this? Probably get there for around 5-5.15pm. Was rammed when I was there against Lancashire so glad I got there early for a seat.

I take it that's tongue in cheek. He's 28 year old and been here 4 years without proving himself. And he didn't have to take on the captaincy.
No I think there is other players who should have stood up and took the captaincy.
Probably the main reason he played is because he took the captaincy so he had no choice.
The lads just not good enough but the extra burden of captaincy must make it even tougher for him to perform at all.

That's pure supposition on your part though- equally he could have asked to be relieved of the captaincy for all we know. He's been dropped for not contributing -alongside a few others, I suspect ,when we see tonight's final XI

Not sure if this is in reply to me but we know for a fact that Lee's and Raine turned down the opportunity so there is two who could have stepped up when Bancroft left and fine the job in T20.

Knew they turned down the 4 day captaincy but they're both now more established at the club. Poytner deserved to be dropped because of his lack of runs so needs to improve. It happens.
