Muchall as much of a hitter as breese these days ?

Is that the first time we've made a defendable total in first game of season?

No fluidity in our batting order at all. It was the same last season where some of our limited overs captaincy was crap imo

Why not send Breese or Pringle in for the last over?

we could do with a decent bowling overseas paceman

ali out gerrin arshad lad

gerrin borthwick

they should get this unless we bowl them out

yes colly wobbles

Thought MacLeod was great tonight. Full range of shots rather than a few areas and he could be real box office. Don't get the criticism of Muchall on here. Always done a very good job T20 and did exactly what was required of him in that finisher role tonight.

On the Hastings front, he's going to be here for all forms. Predominantly a bowler although has batted as high as 7 for his state. Most likely to come in for Arshad in tonight's line-up. We desperately need a senior bowler right now as it already feels like there's a lot of strain on the attack.

They seem like a bloody bunch of footballers at the moment, struggling to find their form, poor diddums. Just not used to it for durham bowlers  Surely they will click at some point though and normal service will be resumed

Fitness is the main concern at the moment, especially without Bunny. Harrison and Wood have both had their fair share of injuries and with Stokes out (although he's playing for the Academy tomorrow against Benwell) and then presumably away with England, there's a real lack of depth. Glad Harrison is back for Somerset or else we could've ended up with the incredibly raw Gavin Main playing.
