Durham v Worcestershire : CC September 15

Whoever sanctioned this Conners signing needs their head examined.

Average of 39 playing all of his career in Division 2. Maybe you’d say fair enough if he could hold a bat but the lad would probably bat 11 for Premier League teams.
He's fielding in front of me. I'll advise him accordingly.

Can’t understand Worcestershire’s tactics here, they should be trying to push the pace and get as many batting points as they can - unless they’ve accepted they’re down 🤷‍♂️

Well we know who sanctioned his signing and given that he's preferred to Bailey...
Both of whom are considered an improvement on Killeen presumably.

You don't know who else was available. But the fact is ..... If too many of your bowlers are injured the management have to go looking for something to patch the leak and inevitably the players available are sub standard that their current team don't want.
The source problem at Durham is that too many bowlers are unavailable. And that leads to the question of why or why wasn't the squad bigger to start with.

I don't think Durham started the season with a proper opening bowler given Potts is contracted to England.

This is exactly why we should have got an overseas seamer in for the final 3 CC games, there's not a chance this attack is capable of taking 20 wickets.

A few of us called this as far back as June and got shouted down the club is really in a very poor position currently.
Some of us even called it out in May -The writing was on the wall after the two dreadful home defeats against Warwickshire and Somerset. And then that one post wonder who claimed he was mates with Lees told us he was an inspirational captain and it was nowt to worry about.

This is tedious, not in an ounce of bother, this time its the whipping boys of div 1 coasting to 400 plus. New ball doing nowt.
Painful to watch.
I'd be gone if it didn't mean catching the traffic. Plus I'm very appreciative that as poor as its been, there isn't much of the season left. Cold winter ahead.
