Mate its always been poor they have to have a pool of about 60 umpires. They are trying to bring the age down by fast tracking ex players but the old umpires who couldn't wait to get off for a fag where nit mych better.

This new breed are far far worse. It's a genuine worry for the game. What happened on day 3 at Leicester was an absolute embarrassment for the game and the blame lies with the umpires who were poor on day 4 also

Mate they would have have them off in a shot as long as i have watched cricket and then to get them back on would be an even bigger event especially if there had been a bit if rain.
