Durham v Notts - LVCC

Ian Blackwell has been utter shite with the bat this season. Another failure for Gordon Muchall... Durham play an extra batsman yet end play 272/7
what gives!?!?!

P.S Can we have a Karl Tuner only board FFS

LOL is that a troll

Errr, good bowling conditions with all the rain around, just a guess.

And this would be Ian Blackwell who is averaging 40+, that's shite is it?

Good day today, just a shame that the weather will beat us.

First Objective - Must be to get to 300. If Mustard can get going pretty quickly we could even dream of 350+, he just needs some assistance, one of the tail to hang with him while he has a blast. Could be an interesting morning session. I'm disappointed with our total, what with being 120-1 at one point and with 8 batsmen in the side. However we'll not know how good or bad our total is in fairness until Notts have batted.

I'd be satisfied with 350 and being all out around Lunch giving us 2 sessions to attack the Notts batsmen!

your so negative all the time about Durham cant you just be happy we are top of the county championship

Given how the weather looked yesterday and how it looks for the next couple of days 300 seems a competitive enough score.

And why are we only playing three bowlers? A four man seam attack in these overcast and humid conditions would've been ideal.

id hazard a guess Stokes and Collingwood are more than capable of bowling the 15 overs a day your 4th bowler would send down

Not notice the irony in that statement?

But he's either clueless or a wind up. Can't see Matt Prior has improved his keeping immeasurably, and thinks Blacky has been shite.

Three bowlers plus Stokes, Collingwood, Benkenstein, Blackwell

Not sure we are struggling in that department ;-)

Fair enough, although I'd be slightly concerned that we're relying on a medium pacer like Colly to be our 4th seamer. Puts a lot of pressure on the three out and out bowlers to perform.

you dont seem that concerned that England do exactly the same

3 seamers, spinner and a dibbly dobbly in Trott

Is there any particular reason for your concern

We don't have a spinner of the class of Swann and we've played four bowlers pretty much all summer. I don't really see why we need to accommodate the likes Muchall and Smith in order not to play another bowler.

Nine more needed for another pointy point

Cracking morning

340 surely above par?

Well, we'll find out
