Durham v Notts (H) 16/5/25


Another good session for Durham, problem is this pitch has shown no sign of deteriorating to give any help to the bowlers in the 2nd innings
 
So the way I see this. If we keep this rate up at 3.5 until tea that should see a lead of around 150 with 32 overs plus 96 overs tomorrow. It would nigh on be impossible to lose the game so I'd like to think we could put them in later today.

Biggest hope is score board pressure and the extra pace of Carse

We need a big lead to have any chance

You’d think if we don’t collapse the rate will go up mind, it’s increased already since Clark came in
Bad light something to keep an eye on mind.

Well yeah even better if we can get more but I'd be satisfied with 150 lead by tea. We've got Clark who is scoring quick but also Cares who can smash them as can Drissell. Plenty quick runs could be scored if we want to go "silly" later

Lead is 70 or so now. We'll get 150, no bother here. Tough ask to bowl them out mind as the pitch is doing nothing. Only Durham can win this game in my opinion. Clark has come in and set the tone for this afternoon, batting with intent

Aye if Clarky can stick about for a bit that lead will grow quickly, but as you say it’ll be tough to bowl them out
 
Well done Ollie. I'm made up for him as he's had a lean time runs-wise.

Also shout out to Clark who is making the most of his opportunities!
