People in the england set up seem to rate him a lot, wasn't he in nets sessions at lords during the second test? Glad to see they've let him off for his drink related incident with the lions.

I have to say the finances have really screwed our season tbh nee overseas players.

Most of our batsmen when trying to attack seem to try to smash the ball out of the ground, with the exceptions of Mustard, Stokes and Breese there seems to be little finesse, timing or trying to use the pace on the ball. I just don't think enough of our batsmen know how to attack properly hence them always fidgeting around and at best going for a run a ball. The best batsmen time their boundaries and knock the ball about for singles, ours seem to smash it 5 yards.

At the end of the day, we didn't expect to get this far, certainly not a few weeks ago. So a bit of progress, hopefully a lot learnt by the likes of Pringle and Wood who can come back stronger next season and hopefully his recent form has convinced the management that as of next season Stokes needs to bat no lower than 4. I know they'll want him there as a finisher but that's only going to be any use if Mustard comes off, there's not enough batsmen in our team who can score quickly enough to compensate for those 2.
