Durham v Middx (H) C:C.

Hmmm decisions decisions with this weather
Surely Middlesex declare and hope to skittle Durham for 180 ish .🤔 Highly unlikely though .Their tactics were confusing last night on two fronts.Never really went aggressively for the 5th batting point from 100-110 overs and ended up short. Then decided to bat on rather than have a go at the Durham openers .Weather not too clever on the route of the Green Bus.Hopefully the local weather correspondent, Red Telephone, will update us later 😉👍

It’s v dark in usually sunny Gateshead. Don’t think the light would be playable in Team Valley (but they don’t have floodlights here of course 😀)

Well I've arrived in Chester Le Street. Grey clouds but reasonably dry. Light could be an issue but as it's likely my last day of red ball cricket this year I thought may as well pop through. Gonna push the boat out and get some sausage rolls from cooplands   before walking down. Living the dream
600 first class wickets for Rushworth. Outstanding

I trust the sausage rolls are for your own consumption and not to ping at our high performance maestro.
Hint in the Times that next season CC will be 3 divisions of 6 hence no promotion or relegation this season. So Durham in Division 3 almost certainly and confined there until Riverside pitches improve to produce results.

have just seen Stan Mac is only 18 yrs and 91 days old. Bloody hell his mam probably still has to tell him to clean his teeth at a bedtime.

But, to get a debut at such an age indicates that the club think he's a good 'un. He's a bit raw but even to me he looks like he'll make the grade. It's very early and who knows what will happen, but I'll take a punt and predict he'll be the next one to play for England. Why not?

His Dad is the BBC Look North news reporter. Looks a good lad and it's nice to finally see some of the younger talent appear
