Pace doesn't seem to be working, why not give Smith a few more overs?

170 after 20 overs. Gettable?
 
Will Smith is struggling so badly atm... Not made out for limited overs batting & even his 4day career stats are mediocre at best.
 
Stokes now gone and the pressures on the lower order to score faster than our bats. This 'playing yourself in' tactic's really paying off.
 
It's ironic that Breese is one of our better T20 batsmen and he won't even have a chance of influencing this one :roll:
 
I know Wood has bags of potential but he seems a lot better suited to the longer format.

As old as they are, would Thorp or Steve Harmison not have been a better option during this T20 shite???? The latter would be in the shop window & we could have peddled him for the last half of the season & got his wages off the books.
 
Load of f***ing shite. Never even looked remotely like getting anywhere near. :roll:

Surely that isn't the best batting line-up available to us :shock:

For me, the line up should be Stoneman, Mustard, Breese, Stokes, Muchall

I don't know where I'd put Borthwick. He's clearly a good batsman, not sure about his strike rate when chasing large totals. Maybe he should be at 3 and the man for the rest to play around but we haven't been using that tactic well so far this season.
 
Hard to criticise a lad who scores 60 odd but you need to score at a better rate in this format. He's made some good knocks this season in the T20's but seemingly not quick enough.

Anyway, fuck it. We're doing alright in the proper cricket. That's the important one :-)
