Not from next season it won't. T20 games will be played mainly on Friday nights throughout the whole season so there will be no huge gap without any 4 day championship games.

Durham now 100 for 4. 67 needed from 5.3 overs. It all rests on Stokes and Muchall as there's not much batting after that.

As someone who faced Borthwick quite a few times and junior levels I was amazed when he broke into the Durham side as a leg spinner. Always looked a quality and assured batsmen and his leg spin was just something he did because he was clearly better than the rest at that level.

Can't say when I've seen Durham I've ever been impressed by his bowling, so it's no surprise he seems to be heading in the direction of more of a batting all-rounder now.

We have no other batsmen at all to take his place. Benks injured & we are too skint for an overseas player.

He's our equivalent of the club player who doesnt bowl & bats 10 or 11.

Yes he sometimes bowls one over correct. :roll:
He bats 7 or 8, below the batsmen & allrounders. But essentially he is still just "making the numbers up".
And yes at a push I guess he could, but I'm not sure if he is an especially big hitter or aggressive batsman.

The pavilion was pretty full, not many over the other end of the pitch though. What's the craic having borrhwick at 3 rather than say strokes? I've been impressed with his batting this season but when chasing a big score I'd rather have a hitter in to keep the rate down.
